, 2022 The Ovsiankina effect refers to the desire to complete interrupted and unfinished tasks. In this study, we investigated whether this effect can be generalized and is observable in videogames. We created 16 short videogames, which were comparable in their controls, and half of which were interrupted midway, whilst the other half could be finished.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.
