An early diagnostic tool for diabetic peripheral neuropathy in rats. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
The skin's rewarming rate of diabetic patients is used as a diagnostic tool for early diagnosis of diabetic neuropathy. At present, the relationship between microvascular changes in the skin and diabetic neuropathy is unclear in streptozotocin (STZ ...

Early Isoflurane Exposure Is Associated With Delayed Adolescent Neurobehavioral Deficits, Accompanied by Dysregulation of FOXG1 and EB3

open access: yesDevelopmental Neurobiology, Volume 86, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Early‐life exposure to general anesthetics has been linked to long‐term neurodevelopmental risks, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Using a mouse model, we show that neonatal isoflurane exposure at Postnatal Day 7 leads to age‐dependent behavioral alterations, changes in cortical neuronal abundance and layer‐specific neuronal ...

Factors Associated with Post-rewarming Procalcitonin Levels in Newborns with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy

open access: yes
Objective: To determine the factors associated with the procalcitonin levels in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) who received therapeutic hypothermia (TH).

Ischemia–Reperfusion Injury: Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Interventions

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
Multiorgan ischemia–reperfusion injury begins with ischemia‐induced ATP depletion and ionic imbalance, followed by reperfusion‐triggered mitochondrial ROS/RNS bursts, regulated cell death, and DAMP release. Sterile inflammation converges on endothelial–immune–coagulation crosstalk, where NETs drive immunothrombosis, no‐reflow, and remote organ injury ...

Sudden cardiac arrest accompanied by severe accidental hypothermia - modifications of the standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedure

open access: yesJournal of Education, Health and Sport, 2018
Severe accidental hypothermia is associated with a high mortality rate. This is related to the fact that assessment and treatment may be difficult: the severity of determining the presence of pulse and breathing, the significant sensitivity of the ...

In Situ pH Determination Using 1H‐MRS Acetate Chemical Shift for Noninvasive Postmortem Examinations

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 7, July 2026.
The chemical‐shift difference between acetate and myo‐inositol measured by MRS enables estimation of pH in the acidic range. Noninvasive pH assessment in forensic investigations is demonstrated in 58 cases and validated by measurements in extracted tissue.

RADIO-FREQUENCY REWARMING IN RESUSCITATION FROM SEVERE HYPOTHERMIA

open access: yes, 1952
Twenty-seven dogs and monkeys were restored to normal body temperature from near-lethal limits of cold, using a radio-frequency rewarming technique. Induction cable applicators were chosen for their facility of arrangement and comparative safety.

Gradual Rewarming Preservation of Liver and Kidney Grafts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The aim of this thesis was to study the role of gradual rewarming on enhancing organ quality in organs with low quality such as ECD and especially DCD during the organ preservation phase and before implantation.

Gradient Warming After Low-Temperature Storage Extends Shelf Life and Maintains Fruit Quality of Korla fragrant pears

open access: yesAgriculture
In the postharvest supply chain, directly moving Korla fragrant pears from ice temperature storage to ambient display readily induces quality deterioration, shortens shelf life, and causes substantial economic losses.
