Promoting the Mathematization of Physics: Hermann Minkowski's Draft Presentations of His 1908 “Grundgleichungen” Paper

open access: yesBerichte zur Wissenschaftsgeschichte, EarlyView.
I present and discuss two drafts of remarks prepared by the mathematician Hermann Minkowski (1864–1909). They were composed in December 1907 while preparing his paper on the “Basic Equations of Electromagnetic Processes in Moving Bodies” for publication in the Proceedings of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences.

Decidability of the confluence of finite ground term rewrite systems and of other related term rewrite systems

open access: yes, 1990
The aim of this paper is to propose an algorithm to decide the confluence of finite ground term rewrite systems. Actually a more general class of possibly infinite ground term rewrite systems is studied.

Nanomaterials‐mediated glycolysis rewriting to potentiate tumor immunotherapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
This review systematically summarizes cutting‐edge advances in glycolysis‐rewiring nanomedicines, emphasizing their mechanisms in reversing immunosuppression and reinvigorating antitumor immune responses. Challenges in clinical translation and future directions for designing multifunctional metabolic‐immune modulators are also critically discussed ...

Green Is the New Gold: Redefining Opulent Lifestyle Through Organic Food Purchases

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Prior studies based on the Theory of Planned Behavior mostly examined the effects of health and environmental concerns on organic food consumption; however, few addressed the paradoxical relationships in the context of opulent or symbolic decorum.

Intelligent Manufacturing, Industrial Agglomeration, and Green and Low‐Carbon Development: A Nonlinear Path Test Based on the Theory of Ecological Modernization

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Drawing upon ecological modernization theory as the analytical framework, this study employs macro‐level longitudinal tracking data covering China's major regions as research samples. It measures the green and low‐carbon development (GLCD) of manufacturing from the four dimensions—“carbon reduction, pollution mitigation, ecological expansion ...

Confluence of Logically Constrained Rewrite Systems Revisited

open access: yes
We show that (local) confluence of terminating locally constrained rewrite systems is undecidable, even when the underlying theory is decidable. Several confluence criteria for logically constrained rewrite systems are known.

Transforming Context-Sensitive Rewrite Systems

open access: yes, 1999
We present two new transformation techniques for proving termination of context-sensitive rewriting. Ourfirst method is simple, sound, and more powerful than previously suggested transformations.

What Constitutes an Attractive Product‐as‐a‐Service Offer? Examining Consumer Preferences for (Circular) Business Patterns

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Little is known about consumer preferences for combinations of circular business model patterns, despite their potential to benefit the design of product services. This study examines consumer preferences for product‐as‐a‐service offers, combined with circular product attributes, across Sweden and the Netherlands.

Within ARM's Reach: Compilation of Left-Linear Rewrite Systems via Minimal Rewrite Systems

open access: yes, 1998
A new compilation technique for left-linear term-rewriting systems is presented, where rewrite rules are transformed into so-called minimal rewrite rules. These minimal rules have such a simple form that they can be viewed as instructions for an abstract

Beyond Structural Interventions: The Human Architecture Shaping ESG Integration in Corporate Systems

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite the promotion of ESG in corporate discourse, substantive integration of ESG principles into business practices remains challenging. This study applies and extends Meadows' leverage framework to examine ESG integration in UAE‐listed firms.
