Histamine and the mechanisms of nausea and vomiting: Translating the uncertain pharmacology of cyclizine

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Cyclizine is a long‐established, short‐acting drug, registered for preventing motion sickness, post‐operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) and ‘vomiting of known cause’. The latter is not defined but may include pregnancy and patients receiving palliative care, historically accepted without large, controlled trials.

RNA‐centric world of retroviruses: unravelling the molecular strategies of genomic RNA packaging

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Retroviruses constitute a unique group of RNA viruses that have profoundly influenced both evolutionary trajectories and biomedical research. Their ability to reverse transcribe and integrate into host genomes has shaped genomic architecture across species and contributed to our understanding of oncogenes, gene regulation, and RNA biology ...

High doses of cobalt inhibited hair follicle development in Rex Rabbits

open access: yesWorld Rabbit Science, 2019
<p>An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of cobalt supplementation on hair follicle development in rabbits. Rex rabbits (30-d-old, n=180) were divided randomly into five equal treatment groups: rabbits fed a basal diet (control, measured cobalt content of 0.27 mg/kg) or rabbits fed a basal diet with an additional 0.1, 0.4, 1.6 or ...

Mapping the Intellectual Structure of AI‐Driven ESG Cost Modeling: A Bibliometric Analysis of Trends, Themes, and Future Directions

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The bibliometric and qualitative analyses of 470 publications in the Web of Science Core Collection from 2004 through 2025 in this study associated the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of AI‐driven ESG cost modeling. The research commences using an integrated analytical framework consisting of three tools: (1) Bibliometrix (R) for

Putative trait‐based retention of oral‐derived microbes along the oral–gut axis in bamboo‐eating pandas

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
Compared with the two herbivorous comparison species, pandas showed higher estimated oral‐source contributions and enrichment of microbial traits associated with facultative anaerobiosis, biofilm formation, and stress tolerance. These patterns are consistent with a model in which greater oral microbial input and putative host filtering may jointly ...

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSHβ) gene polymorphisms and associations with reproductive traits in Rex rabbits

open access: yesAnimal Reproduction Science, 2019
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) stimulates granulosa cell proliferation and controls the development and maturation of oocytes. In this study with Rex rabbit, there was exploration of the relationships between reproductive traits and SNPs and haplotypes of FSHβ, and tested whether FSHβ SNPs would segregate between two lines, using 70 females from ...

High‐Content Screening Comparison of 1R6F Cigarette Smoke Extract and Selected Heated Tobacco and Electronic Vapour Product Aerosol Extracts in Endothelial and Bronchial Epithelial Cell Models

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cigarettes induce oxidative stress and DNA damage, processes that contribute to cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. High content screening (HCS) is an increasingly valuable tool for comparative toxicology because it enables simultaneous quantification of multiple mechanistic endpoints at single‐cell resolution. In this study, HCS was used to
