Parabolic Nonlinear Second Order Slip Reynolds Equation: Approximation and Existence
This work studies an initial boundary value problem for nonlinear degenerate parabolic equation issued from a lubrication slip model. Existence of solutions is established through a semi discrete scheme approximation combined with some a priori estimates.

Comparative study of turbulence models in predicting hypersonic inlet flows [PDF]
A numerical study was conducted to analyze the performance of different turbulence models when applied to the hypersonic NASA P8 inlet. Computational results from the PARC2D code, which solves the full two-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes ...

Stability of Rossby waves in the beta-plane approximation
Floquet theory is used to describe the unstable spectrum at large scales of the beta-plane equation linearized about Rossby waves. Base flows consisting of one to three Rossby wave are considered analytically using continued fractions and the method of ...

Las ecuaciones de Reynolds y la relación de clausura
We posed the problem to obtain the closure relation for the Reynolds equations. And like secondary target, to obtain analytical expressions for the Reynolds stress. Showing its jump of discontinuity like expression of the rupture of the symmetry; the one

Modified Norris–Reynolds One–Equation Model
AbstractA modified version of Norris–Reynolds (NR) k–equation turbulence model is proposed to account for the distinct effects of low– Reynolds number (LRN) and wall proximity. The turbulent kinetic energy k and the dissipation rate E are evaluated using the k–transport equation in conjunction with the Bradshaw and other empirical relations.

A Realizable Reynolds Stress Algebraic Equation Model [PDF]
The invariance theory in continuum mechanics is applied to analyze Reynolds stresses in high Reynolds number turbulent flows. The analysis leads to a turbulent constitutive relation that relates the Reynolds stresses to the mean velocity gradients in a ...

A rigorous derivation of the time-dependent Reynolds equation
We study the asymptotic behavior of solutions of the evolution Stokes equation in a thin three-dimensional domain bounded by two moving surfaces in the limit as the distance between the surfaces approaches zero. Using only a priori estimates and compactness it is rigorously verified that the limit velocity field and pressure are governed by the time ...

A compressible Navier-Stokes solver with two-equation and Reynolds stress turbulence closure models [PDF]
This report outlines the development of a general purpose aerodynamic solver for compressible turbulent flows. Turbulent closure is achieved using either two equation or Reynolds stress transportation equations.
