Magnetic Field Driven Microrobot Based on Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based magnetic microrobots synergize remote magnetic control with the biocompatibility of flexible hydrogels, emerging as promising tools for minimally invasive biomedicine. This enables remotely controllable, untethered navigation within complex biological microenvironments.

Experimental Study on Reynolds Number Evolution of Gas-Filled Coal

open access: yesGeofluids, 2019
The flow state of gas in coals is very complicated. We should pay attention to whether the permeability calculated by Darcy’s law is in accordance with the actual situation.

Investigation of CAST-10-2/DOA 2 airfoil in NAE high Reynolds number two-dimensional test facility [PDF]

open access: yes
A common airfoil model with the CAST 10-2/DOA-2 profile and 228 mm (9 inches) chord length was tested. The tests performed in NAE covered the Mach numbers from 0.3 to 0.8 and Reynolds numbers from 10 to 30 million.

Reynolds number and Shallow Depth Sloshing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The dependence on the Reynolds number of shallow depth sloshing flows inside rectangular tanks subjected to forced harmonic motion is studied in this paper with weakly compressible SPH. We are interested in assessing the in fluenceof viscous effects on the

Multimodal Locomotion in Insect‐Inspired Microrobots: A Review of Strategies for Aerial, Surface, Aquatic, and Interfacial Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review identifies key design considerations for insect‐inspired microrobots capable of multimodal locomotion. To draw inspiration, biological and robotic strategies for moving in air, on water surfaces, and underwater are examined, along with approaches for crossing the air–water interface.

What is the Reynolds Number of the Reynolds' Layer? [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Several authors have now suggested that some interstellar clouds above the plane of the Galaxy are interacting with the Reynolds' layer, the warm ionized gas extending well above (H~910 pc) the Galactic plane (Reynolds 1993). Characterizing the interaction between these clouds and their surroundings should be useful in understanding one source of ...

Prandtl number effect on near wall temperature profile in high-Reynolds number channel flows

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2014
Prandtl number (Pr) effects on characteristics of the thermal boundary layer were investigated by means of Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) in high-Reynolds number turbulent channel flows. The molecular Pr conditions were changed from 0.71 to 25.0, and
