Applying Quality by Design to Digital Twin Supported Scale‐Up in Modular Plants
Modular Plants are highly flexible and scalable and thus have potential utility to support faster time‐to‐process. Digital Twins of these modules require FAIR data and prior knowledge from the different domains in process development to describe the equipment capabilities. These equipment‐based Digital Twins can be combined with methods such as Quality

Women at Work with the Help of Family: Leveraging Family Resources to Tackle Work‐Family Conflict
ABSTRACT Despite significant advancements in women's professional pursuits, work–family conflict (WFC) remains a persistent challenge that affects their careers. As such, this qualitative study delves into the lived experiences of 17 working women, across diverse sectors in South Africa, to understand how they handle WFC.

The effect of discontinuous injection on particle backflow in pneumatic conveying systems
Abstract Pneumatic conveying is used in many process industries to transport dry, granular, and powdered solids. The triboelectrification of particles during conveying causes particle agglomeration, spark discharges, and disruptions in particle flow, making particles move upstream against the fluid flow. The effect of frequency of particle injection on

Local sensitivity analysis of a supercritical extraction model
Abstract This study investigates the process of chamomile oil extraction from chamomile flowers. A parameter‐distributed model, consisting of a set of partial differential equations, was used to describe the governing mass transfer phenomena between solid and fluid phases under supercritical conditions using carbon dioxide as the solvent.

ABSTRACT Septins are conserved GTP‐binding proteins that play key roles in cell division, mitochondrial dynamics and immune responses. Despite their importance to human health, pharmacological compounds to modify septins remain limited. Forchlorfenuron (FCF) was the first small molecule identified to modify septins, disrupting their organisation and ...
