The Impact of Nirsevimab on Bronchiolitis‐Related Hospitalizations: A Multicenter Italian Retrospective Comparative Study

open access: yesPediatric Pulmonology, Volume 61, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Bronchiolitis is the leading cause of infant hospitalizations worldwide, primarily driven by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Methods This multicenter retrospective comparative study assessed the impact of immunoprophylaxis with nirsevimab against RSV on bronchiolitis‐related hospitalizations in Italy during the 2024–2025 winter

U‑shaped association between relative fat mass (RFM) and stress urinary incontinence: a cross‑sectional study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research
Background This study aimed to investigate the relationship between relative fat mass (RFM) and stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Methods This cross-sectional study employed data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES ...

Proposal of a Geometric Calibration Method Using Sparse Recovery to Remove Linear Array Push-Broom Sensor Bias

open access: yesSensors, 2019
The rational function model (RFM) is widely used in the most advanced Earth observation satellites, replacing the rigorous imaging model. The RFM method achieves the desired calibration performance when image distortion is caused by long-period errors ...

The Association of Hair Dye Use With Sociodemographic and Lifestyle Factors in the Dutch General Population: A Cross‐Sectional Questionnaire‐Based Study

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 94, Issue 2, Page 137-148, February 2026.
Our findings highlight several positive associations between sociodemographic and lifestyle factors and both hair dye use and its adverse skin reactions. Notably, elevated BMI was consistently and significantly positively associated with both hair dye use and adverse skin reactions.

Biostimulants in plant brassinosteroid hormone receptor BRI1 activation—a new system to evaluate activation capacity

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 3, Page 677-697, February 2026.
Biostimulants improve plant growth and have shown promise in agronomic applications and boosting crop yield. Because biostimulants typically present as a mixture of active components, new methods are required to characterize their mode of action. Here, we describe a novel assay that evaluates plant biostimulants targeting the brassinosteroid receptor ...

Association between relative fat mass and sterility in women of reproductive age in the United States: results from the 2013–2018 NHANES

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
BackgroundA major problem that affects women of reproductive age globally is sterility. A new statistic called Relative Fat Mass (RFM) provides an accurate representation of the percentage of total body fat in people.

Comparing Geometrical and Delay Radio Emission Heights in Pulsars

open access: yes, 2003
We use a set of carefully selected published average multifrequency polarimetric observations for six bright cone dominated pulsars and devise a method to combine the multifrequency polarization position angle (PPA) sweep traverses.

hiPSC‐Derived Astrocytes From Individuals With Schizophrenia Induce a Dystrophic Phenotype in Microglial‐Like Cells

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 1, January 2026.
SCZ astrocytes display an increased pro‐inflammatory profile upon TNF‐α stimulation. Reactive SCZ astrocytes induce microglial‐like cells to assume a dystrophic phenotype. Reactive SCZ astrocytes limit iMGs' synaptoneurosome uptake and migration. ABSTRACT Neuroinflammation, particularly astrocyte reactivity, is increasingly linked to schizophrenia (SCZ)
