Nonrigid Optical Flow Ground Truth for Real-World Scenes with Time-Varying Shading Effects
In this paper we present a dense ground truth dataset of nonrigidly deforming real-world scenes. Our dataset contains both long and short video sequences, and enables the quantitatively evaluation for RGB based tracking and registration methods.

An FPGA-Based Simple RGB-HSI Space Conversion Algorithm for Hardware Image Processing
In this paper, a new, low-complexity, easy-to-implement hardware method for color space conversion between the red-green-blue (RGB) and the hue-saturation-intensity (HSI) color spaces called the simple RGB-HSI space conversion (S-SC) algorithm is ...

A Study of the Dusty Disks and Shells around Post-RGB Stars in the LMC
A new class of dusty post-Red Giant Branch (post-RGB) stars has recently been identified in the Magellanic Clouds. Their spectral energy distributions (SEDs) suggest that their mass-ejecta are similar to dusty post-Asymptotic Giant Branch (post-AGB ...

From Canonical to Enhanced Extra Mixing in Low-Mass Red Giants: Tidally Locked Binaries [PDF]
Stellar models which incorporate simple diffusion or shear induced mixing are used to describe canonical extra mixing in low mass red giants of low and solar metallicity.

First detection of rotational CO line emission in an RGB star [PDF]
Context: For stars with initial masses below about 1 solar mass, the mass loss during the first red giant branch (RGB) phase dominates mass loss in the later asymptotic giant branch (AGB) phase.

ORGB: Offset Correction in RGB Color Space for Illumination-Robust Image Processing
Single materials have colors which form straight lines in RGB space. However, in severe shadow cases, those lines do not intersect the origin, which is inconsistent with the description of most literature.

Clues on the evolution of the Carina dwarf spheroidal galaxy from the color distribution of its red giant stars [PDF]
The thin red giant branch (RGB) of the Carina dwarf spheroidal galaxy appears at first sight quite puzzling and seemingly in contrast with the presence of several distinct bursts of star formation.
