RGB-D video content identification
2013 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2013This paper proposes the first content identification (ID) system for depth video as well as a first hybrid content ID system for synchronized RGB and depth (RGB-D) video. The proposed systems are tested on a public RGB-D dataset. The hybrid system demonstrates significant performance gains over RGB-alone or depth-alone systems, while depth and RGB ...

Effective keyframe extraction from RGB and RGB-D video sequences
2017 Seventh International Conference on Image Processing Theory, Tools and Applications (IPTA), 2017The rapid increase in digital video content demands effective summarization techniques, specially with the creation of RGBD videos. Keyframe extraction significantly reduces the amount of raw data in a video sequence. In this paper, we present a two-stage (histogram and filtering) keyframe extraction algorithm applicable on RGB and RGBD videos.

Label propagation in RGB-D video
2017 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), 2017We propose a new method for the propagation of semantic labels in RGB-D video of indoor scenes given a set of ground truth keyframes. Manual labeling of all pixels in every frame of a video sequence is labor intensive and costly, yet required for training and testing of semantic segmentation methods.

Action recognition in RGB-D egocentric videos
2017 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2017In this paper, we investigate the problem of action recognition in RGB-D egocentric videos. These self-generated and embodied videos provide richer semantic cues than the conventional videos captured from the third-person view for action recognition. Moreover, they contain both appearance information and 3D structure of the scenes from the RGB modality

Inter-plane prediction for RGB video coding
2004 International Conference on Image Processing, 2004. ICIP '04., 2005This paper presents an efficient video coding method in RGB space. Generally RGB space is regarded as a bad space from a compression point of view. Each RGB component contains the color information along with luminance information. This redundancy degrades the coding efficiency.

Guided Cross-Component Prediction for RGB Video Coding
2018 Data Compression Conference, 2018Statistical dependencies among different color components can be exploited to improve the compression efficiency of video coding. In the Range Extensions (RExt) of High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard, a cross-component prediction tool is adopted.

Generative adversarial networks for generating RGB-D videos
2018 Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association Annual Summit and Conference (APSIPA ASC), 2018Generative adversarial networks(GANs) have been successfully applied for generating high quality natural images and have been extended to the generation of RGB videos and 3D volume data. In this paper we consider the task of generating RGB-D videos, which is less extensively studied and still challenging.

HSVCNN: CNN-Based Hyperspectral Reconstruction from RGB Videos
2018 25th IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2018Hyperspectral video acquisition usually requires high complexity hardware and reconstruction algorithms. In this paper, we propose a low complexity CNN-based method for hyperspectral reconstruction from ubiquitous RGB videos, which effectively exploits the temporal redundancies within RGB videos and generates high-quality hyperspectral output ...

A Video Retargeting Technique for RGB-D Camera
2014This paper presents a content aware video retargeting technique with the help of an RGB-D camera based on the detection of saliency objects. The content aware image resizing algorithm requires some energy terms to separate the main contents and the background.
