The ability of photoacids to increase their acidity in response to light irradiation (excited state proton transfer, ESPT) makes them attractive building blocks for the design of stimuli‐responsive copolymers. In this contribution, we present highly biocompatible polyphotoacids based on poly(2‐oxazoline)s bearing 1‐hydroxypyrene units. Low cytotoxicity,

Hydrophilic Poly(Iminopyridinium Ylide)s: Defining a New Chemical Space for Poly(ylide)s
Poly(iminopyridinium ylide) (PIPY) is reported as an overall charge‐neutral hydrophilic polymer with good water‐solubility, stability across physiologically relevant pH levels, and minimal biomolecular interactions. PIPY shows prevention of insulin fibrillation, which highlights its protein‐stabilizing capacity.

ABSTRACT Dielectric barrier discharge ionization (DBDI) sources, employing low‐temperature plasma, have emerged as sensitive and efficient ionization tools with various atmospheric pressure ionization processes. In this review, we summarize a historical overview of the development of DBDI, highlighting key principles of gas‐phase ion chemistry and the ...
