Is amnioinfusion for intrapartum variable decelerations effective? Evaluation of the total deceleration area: A retrospective cohort study

Abstract Objective Data regarding the efficiency of amnioinfusion in the presence of recurrent variable decelerations (VD) are limited. Total deceleration area (TDA) has been shown to be a useful indicator of both intrapartum fetal acid–base status and neonatal morbidity.

CYP2C19 Loss‐of‐Function Is an Independent Risk Factor of Coronary Artery Disease in Patients With Hypertension

Journal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
The relationship between Cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) polymorphisms and coronary artery disease (CAD) in hypertensive patients was analyzed. CYP2C19 loss‐of‐function, BMI ≥ 24.0 kg/m2, and history of alcoholism were independent risk factors for CAD in hypertensive patients.
