Variability of blood parameters across ABO and Rh blood groups: Insights from a master health check-up data of adult population [PDF]
Background: The ABO and Rh blood group systems have been associated with variations in disease susceptibility. This study aimed to assess the variability in blood parameters, including red cell parameters and metabolic parameters (Renal function, hepatic

Integrin α8‐Mediated Pericyte Morphogenesis Controls Blood‐Brain Barrier Integrity
This study highlights that ITGA8 impacts pericyte morphology and function, both crucial for BBB integrity, via RhoA/ROCK signaling, thus influencing TGF‐β1 activation through cytoskeletal tension and ECM interactions. Notably, in post‐ischemic recovery models, ITGA8 deficiency exacerbates vascular dysfunction by impairing pericyte‐mediated BBB ...

Evaluation prevalence of Rh system major antigens (D, C, c, E, e) and their phenotypes in blood donors of Golestan province, Iran [PDF]
Background: The understanding of blood group phenotypes is currently limited to the ABO and Rh blood group systems. This study aimed to determine the frequency of Rh system antigens (D, C, c, E, e) and the phenotypes of the system in blood donors ...

Skullcapflavone II (SkII) significantly alters serine metabolism in gastric cancer cells by directly targeting the L‐serine transporter SLC1A4, thereby inhibiting L‐serine uptake rather than de novo synthesis. This disruption of serine metabolism by SkII leads to increased oxidative stress and consequent mitochondrial damage.

TGFβ2 signaling‐mediated migration/invasion and migrasome formation are suppressed in recurrent miscarriage (RM) versus healthy control villous tissues and are negatively associated with unexplained RM. In mechanism, TGFβ2 promotes trophoblast cell migration/invasion and migrasome formation, all of which are suppressed by lnc‐HZ05. In details, lnc‐HZ05

Compared to transplantation of neural stem cells (NSCs) alone, the combined treatment of NSCs with semaglutide more effectively improves motor dysfunction in Parkinson's disease (PD) mice. This synergistic effect may result from semaglutide's ability to suppress microglial activation, thereby preventing the transformation of resting astrocytes into ...
