Taphonomic studies of Cenozoic mammals are scarce. We report a study of the taphonomy of the Corralito site (Middle Pleistocene to Holocene), Córdoba Province, Argentina, which documents the last population of the South American native ungulate typotherid Mesotherium cristatum.
