The Rhetorical Analysis of Politics
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2009This paper develops ideas for a new interpretive framework through which to analyze rhetoric in politics. It employs Michel Meyer’s conception of questioning in order to conceive of the state as facing a question of legitimacy, which it is necessary to answer. It then conceives of rhetoric and law as different forms of answers.

Empedocles: European Journal for the Philosophy of Communication, 2019Abstract This article provides a rhetorical analysis of a public apology that was issued by conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh in response to criticism of on-air comments that he made in February 2012.
