Crossostylis in the Solomon islands and the New Hebrides (Rhizophoraceae)

Through the efforts of Dr T. C. Whitmore and Mr G. F. C. Dennis large collections of trees from the Solomons have been accumulated in the past six years. Among them are some interesting collections of the genus Crossostylis, a truly oceanic-Pacific genus, ranging from the Tuamotos westwards as far as and including the Solomon Is. and New Caledonia.
