Low-Threshold and Narrow Linewidth Diffusive Random Lasing in Rhodamine 6G Dye-Doped Polyurethane with Dispersed ZrO$_2$ Nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Opt. Soc. Am. B 31, 2363-2370, (2014), 2015
We report on low-threshold and narrow linewidth intensity feedback random lasing in Rhodamine 6G dye-doped polyurethane with dispersed ZrO$_2$ nanoparticles. Depending on the dye/particle concentration, the lasing threshold is (6.8--15.4) MW/cm$^2$ and the linewidth is (4--6) nm. The lasing threshold as a function of nanoparticle concentration is found

Lanthanide(III) complexes of rhodamine-DO3A conjugates as agents for dual-modal imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Two novel dual-modal MRI/optical probes based on a rhodamine-DO3A conjugate have been prepared. The bis aqua-Gd(III) complex Gd.L1 and mono aqua-Gd(III) complex Gd.L2 behave as dual-modal imaging probes (r1 = 8.5 and 3.8 mM-1s-1 for Gd.L1 and Gd.L2 ...

A novel formulation of chitosan nanoparticles functionalized with titanium dioxide nanoparticles

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology & Research, 2021
Herein, chitosan nanoparticles (CS-NPs) were prepared and functionalized chemically with titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2-NPs) to allow on-demand degradation of CS-NPs, using ultraviolet (UV) irradiation as a trigger.

Antibody-Capped Mesoporous Nanoscopic Materials:Design of a Probe for the Selective Chromo-FluorogenicDetection of Finasteride [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
[EN] The synthesis of capped mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) conjugated with an antibody (AB) as a gatekeeper has been carried out in order to obtain a delivery system able to release an entrapped cargo (dye) in the presence of a target molecule

Gallium Oxides Photocatalysts Doped With Fe Ions for Discoloration of Rhodamine Under UV and Visible Light

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science, 2022
Heterogeneous photocatalysis is a highly efficient process for degrading recalcitrant and emerging pollutants. Rhodamine B (RhB) is a nonbiodegradable and highly refractory compound persistent in conventional processes.

Synthesis, resolution and crystal structures of two enantiomeric rhodamine derivatives

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2017
The title molecule, rac-6′-bromo-3′-diethylamino-3H-spiro[2-benzofuran-1,9′-xanthen]-3-one, C24H20BrNO3, was synthesized and the two enantiomers which formed were separated. The structures of all three compounds were determined and compared with those of

Fabrication of Active Polymer Optical Fibers by Solution Doping and Their Characterization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper employs the solution-doping technique for the fabrication of active polymer optical fibers (POFs), in which the dopant molecules are directly incorporated into the core of non-doped uncladded fibers. Firstly, we characterize the insertion of a

On the influence of the rhodamine substituents onto the cytotoxicity of mitocanic maslinic acid rhodamine conjugates

open access: yesResults in Chemistry, 2023
Maslinic acid was converted via a di-acetylated piperazinyl amide into rhodamine conjugates differing in their alkyl moieties. These conjugates were submitted to cytotoxicity assays employing a panel of human tumor cell lines. These conjugates held high cytotoxicity but also some selectivity especially for A2780 cells.
