Monolayers and multilayers of arachidic acid with rhodamine 6G

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1973
Abstract The steep force—area diagram of an arachidic acid monolayer spread on water is drastically changed by introducing some rhodamine 6G to the subsolution. The nature of the adsorption of rhodamine 6G on arachidic acid monolayers is mainly electrostatic.

Self-assembly of rhodamine 6G on silver nanoparticles

Chemical Physics Letters, 2018
Abstract Understanding interactions between nanoparticles and small molecules is of significance for design of nanoparticle-based materials. Each citrate-coated silver nanoparticle (AgNP, 24 nm) in solution attracts 210,000 rhodamine 6G (R6G) molecules to assemble on its surface to form 170 nm “micelle-like” structures, where the fluorescence of the ...

Spectra of the lowest excited singlet states of rhodamine 6G and rhodamine B

IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1979
Excited states of laser dyes were generated in solution by an intense 6 ns laser pump pulse tuned to the absorption maximum of the longest wavelength, ground state absorption band. They were interrogated by a shorter, simultaneous, monochromatic pulse of smaller diameter, concentric and collinear with the pump, having a crossed polarization.

Aggregation states of rhodamine 6G in electrospun nanofibrous films

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2010
Novel fluorescent composite nanofibrous films of rhodamine 6G (Rh6G) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) are first prepared by electrospinning. The aggregation states of Rh6G in electruspun nanofibrous films are studied as a function of concentrations and characterized by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and emission and excitation fluorescence spectroscopy.

Spectrophotometric determination of zinc with thiocyanate and Rhodamine 6G

The Analyst, 1980
A sensitive and selective method is described for the spectrophotometric determination of zinc. The method is based on the reaction of Rhodamine 6G with the tetrathiocyanatozincate(II) anion to form a pink product that is stabilised by gelatin. The colour development is rapid and remains stable for at least 3 h. Zinc contents as low as 0.2–5.0 µg in 10

Aggregation of rhodamine 6G in porous silica gels

Chemical Physics Letters, 1991
Abstract Concentration-dependent changes of absorption spectra of rhodamine 6G (R6G) embedded in silica gel films have been investigated. Dimers of R6G molecules in the gel matrix have been found at concentrations of about 0.1 M. The dimer and monomer spectra as well as the dimerization critical radius have been determined.
