Synthesis, Optical and Photocatalytic Properties of ZnSe Microspheres/Nanosheets

open access: yesNano Biomedicine and Engineering, 2011
The microspheres/nanosheets of the ZnSe were prepared by solvothermal route. The morphological, structural, optical, as well as photocatalytic properties of the ZnSe products were studied. SEM and TEM results showed that morphologies of the products were

A historical review of experimental imaging of the beating heart coronary microcirculation in vivo

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 242, Issue 1, Page 3-16, January 2023., 2023
Intravital imaging of the beating heart microcirculation in vivo has been challenging. The past 50 years has seen changes in ways to both stabilise and image the heart with a shift from learning about coronary vascular anatomy and physiology to the role of thromboinflammation and other microcirculatory disturbances in cardiovascular disease.

Two-dimensional electronic femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
We report two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy with a femtosecond stimulated Raman scattering probe. The method reveals correlations between excitation energy and excited state vibrational structure following photoexcitation. We demonstrate the method

Optical humidity sensor based on a liquid whispering-gallery mode resonator [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
We experimentally demonstrate the use of a novel liquid state, whispering-gallery-mode optical resonator as a highly sensitive humidity sensor. The optical resonator used consists of a droplet made of glycerol, a transparent liquid that enables high optical quality factor, doped with rhodamine 6G, which acts as fluorescent emitter.

Carbonized Polymer Dots‐Based Spectrally Adaptable Photonic Microbarcodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores spectrally tunable photonics barcodes using carbonized polymer dots (CPDs) based on whispering gallery mode (WGM) photoluminescence. CPDs offer wavelength‐dependent emission from visible to near‐infrared (NIR), thereby enabling variable WGM emissions.

Plasmonic random laser on an optical fiber tip [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Random lasing occurs as the result of a coherent optical feedback from multiple scattering centers. Here, we demonstrate that plasmonic gold nanostars are efficient light scattering centers, exhibiting strong field enhancement at their nanotips, which assists a very narrow bandwidth and highly amplified coherent random lasing with a low lasing ...

Synthesis of Rhodamine TEMPO Conjugates via Isonitrile‐Based Multicomponent‐Reactions for Mitochondria‐Targeted ROS‐Detection in Cancer Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
This article explores the development of rhodamine TEMPO conjugates via the Ugi‐multicomponent reaction to detect reactive oxygen species (ROS) in living cells. The sensors are highly selective for mitochondria in both cancer and normal cell lines, with fluorescence quenching and EPR spectroscopy offering precise ROS detection.
