First evidence of the P-glycoprotein gene expression and multixenobiotic resistance modulation in earthworm [PDF]
Multixenobiotic resistance (MXR) is an important mechanism of cellular efflux mediated by ATP binding cassette (ABC) transporters that bind and actively remove toxic substrates from the cell.

Tailoring the Properties of Functional Materials With N‐Oxides
The properties of materials bearing N‐oxide groups are often dominated by the polar N+─O− bond. It provides hydrophilicity, selective ion‐binding, electric conductivity, or antifouling properties. Many of the underlying mechanisms have only recently been discovered, and the interest in N‐oxide materials is rapidly growing.

A scalable bio‐templated approach using spray‐coating and thermal annealing fabricates cellulose nanofibril (CNF) films loaded with gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) and graphene oxide (GO) hybrids as Surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates. The 3D CNF network ensures uniform Au NPs distribution, while annealing induces more hotspots, confirmed ...

Spectroscopic investigation of Rhodamine-B thin film prepared by PLD technique
Optical properties of Rhodamine-B thin film prepared by PLD technique have been investigated. The absorption spectra using 1064nm and 532 nm laser wavelength of different laser pulse energies shows that all the curves contain two bands, B band and Q ...

Effects of Rhodamine B on Wet Electrospinning
Wet electrospinning here is not the “dry-jet-wet electrospinning”, but an electrospinning that is conducted in an insulator coagulant. The process is shown to be possible by spinning polystyrene-chloroform into the coagulant of fluorinert FC-40 (Sumitomo 3M Ltd.) in our previous paper.

Gd‐doped BFO (BGFO) exhibits a ∼2‐order reduction in leakage current owing to its lowest content of oxygen vacancies. This leads to a ∼2.5‐fold increase in remnant polarization. These improvements in BGFO effectively boost charge separation and transportation, resulting in the greatest incident photon‐to‐current efficiency of 12.9 ± 0.73% and a ∼1.5 ...

Dataset of breakthrough time for various modified sand materials using Rhodamine-B as an adsorbate
Removal of synthetic dyes from wastewater generated by the textile industries is important. Rhodamine-B is widely used colorant and is medically proven to lead to tissue borne sarcoma, reproductive and neurotoxicity issues in humans, if still present in ...

Strain‐Activated Photo‐Dehalogenation Unlocks Low‐Energy One and Two‐Photon 3D Microfabrication
5,14‐NMI‐Cz acts, conversely to its 7,10‐NMI‐Cz(7,10‐'dibromo‐2‐(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)‐1H‐benzo[lmn]carbazolo[9,1‐bc][2,8]phenanthroline‐1,3(2H)‐dione) counterpart, as modular photoinitiator with panchromatic photoactivity, featuring a weak C–Br bond from geometric strain for efficient Type I & II initiation. These studies demonstrate applicability of

Aggregates of diketopyrrolopyrrole dipolar and quadrupolar systems exhibit panchromatic absorption spectra extending in the entire visible range. Upon aggregation in water and in the solid state, their fluorescence is almost completely quenched and their singlet excited state lifetime is significantly shortened.
