The use of rhodamine b in analytical chemistry
Analytica Chimica Acta, 1955Abstract Using the technique already developed for determination of antimony with rhodamine B a method has been derived for determining small quantities of gold in the range 0–30 μg. Owing to the stability of the higher valency of gold no oxidation stage is required; extraction of the complex is only satisfactory with isopropyl ether in contrast with

Electrochemical Degradation of Rhodamine B Dye
Moroccan Journal of Chemistry, 2016The demand of water doubles globally due to rapid increase in population and industrial activities. With the development of dye industries, the dye waste water has become one of the important environmental problem. In order to evaluate the feasibility of removal of basic dye Rhodamine B from aqueous solution, the electrolysis of aqueous solution of dye

Fluorescence of the lactone form of rhodamine B
Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2013A quantum-chemical investigation of spectral fluorescent properties of the lactone form of rhodamine B molecule is conducted with allowance for its interaction with polar solvent. It is shown that within the model, two emitting states emerge that can be attributed to the zwitterion and lactone forms of the rhodamine molecule based on their nature and ...

Sorption of rhodamine B by montmorillonite and laponite
Colloids and Surfaces, 1987Abstract The adsorption of rhodamine B by montmorillonite and laponite has been studied by visible (absorption and emission) and infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The dye is adsorbed as a uni-charged cation by a mechanism of cation exchange.

Interaction of aminomethylated resorcinarenes with rhodamine B
New Journal of Chemistry, 2009The interaction of aminomethylated resorcinarenes with a red xanthene dye, rhodamine B, was investigated in chloroform, methanol and chloroform–methanol solutions using UV-vis, NMR and fluorescence spectroscopy. Aminomethylated resorcinarenes 1 and 2 shift the rhodamine B equilibrium from the zwitterion to the lactone form unlike reference compounds 3 ...

The effects of Rhodamine B on the chromosomes of Muntiacus muntjac
Mutation Research/Genetic Toxicology, 1981Cytogenetic analysis of Muntiacus muntjac fibroblast cells exposed to the xanthene dye, Rhodamine B, revealed a significant increase in chromosomal aberrations. The M. muntjac fibroblasts were exposed to various concentrations of Rhodamine B and examined for increases in aberration frequencies.

Photophysics of Rhodamine B Interacting with Silver Spheroids
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1999Deactivation processes of Rhodamine B (RB) in water and interacting with silver sols were studied by using conventional fluorescence, laser-induced fluorescence, and pulsed laser photoacoustics. Results showed that the emission efficiencies, absorption cross sections, and nonradiative deactivation pathway of RB interacting with silver spheroids of ...

Optical properties of Rhodamine B and Rhodamine 6G on silver surfaces
Pramana, 1988The transmission spectra of Rhodamine B and Rhodamine 6G dyes coated on silver island films for various thickness were recorded. A strong coupling between the silver particle plasma resonance and the dye molecules is observed. The absorption of dye molecules increases when the absorption band of individual dyes and silver particles overlaps.
