Papilio cresphontes Cram., tr. f. forsythae new tr f.In typical Florida and southern United States examples of cresphontes, the ground color is pale yellow. In this tr. f. the ground color is a deep canary yellow, practically an orange or burnt umber, similar to Papilio rutulus ammoni Behrens which is well illustrated on pl.

VARIOUS NEW BUTTERFLIES (LEPID., RHOPALOCERA)

The white female of mendii Edw. without the typical burnt-orange color. Green of under sides, common character of black border maculation and rose tinted fringes and antennae as usual. The cell spot on the upper side of the secondaries is cream color and beneath it has the usual silver center.

Istraživanje faune Turopolja započelo je još 1986.godine,u sklopu izrade ekološke studije za gradnju nuklearne elektrane Prevlaka. Utvrđena fauna danjih leptira Turopolja osnov je za određivanje ostalih bioloških značajki, na osnovu kojih se jedino mogu donijeti pouzdane mjere za njenu zaštitu.
