CNXT‐Ti‐LT–Based Multi‐Scale Feature–Aware Susceptibility Mapping of Rainfall‐Induced Clustered Landslides in Southeast China

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Machine Learning and Computation, Volume 3, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract This study focuses on the clustered landslide event triggered by intense rainfall on 16 June 2024 in the Fujian–Guangdong–Jiangxi border region, aiming to develop an efficient deep learning model for high‐accuracy landslide susceptibility mapping. Based on the mapped landslide distribution and insights from field investigations, we constructed

ANALISIS PERGERAKAN POLUTAN TRIKLOROETILEN DALAM MEDIA BERPORI MENGGUNAKAN SENTRIFUG GEOTEKNIK (Analysis of Trichloroethylene Pollutant Migration in Porous Media Using Geotechnical Centrifuge)

The making of pure quartzose sand in continental interiors: Paraná River (Brazil and Argentina)

open access: yesSedimentology, Volume 73, Issue 3, Page 802-837, April 2026.
ABSTRACT As part of a comprehensive project on sedimentary processes in South America, this study focuses on sediment generation in the intracratonic Paraná Basin and monitors the evolution of sand composition along the Paraná River from central Brazil to the Río de la Plata estuary in Argentina.

The Chaitén rhyolite lava dome: Eruption sequence, lava dome volumes, rapid effusion rates and source of the rhyolite magma

open access: yesAndean Geology, 2013
We use geologic field mapping and sampling, photogrammetric analysis of oblique aerial photographs, and digital elevation models to document the 2008-2009 eruptive sequence at Chaitén Volcano and to estimate volumes and effusion rates for the lava dome ...

Lose the plot: cost-effective survey of the Peak Range, central Queensland [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The Peak Range (22˚ 28’ S; 147˚ 53’ E) is an archipelago of rocky peaks set in grassy basalt rolling-plains, east of Clermont in central Queensland. This report describes the flora and vegetation based on surveys of 26 peaks.

Exploring the Gravimetric and Geochronological Links in Ancient Terranes of the São Francisco Craton and Borborema Province, NE‐Brazil

open access: yesTerra Nova, Volume 38, Issue 2, Page 77-86, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Deep crustal fragments and structural lineaments identified through satellite gravity data provide evidence for the extension of the reworked ancient basement of the Central African Block into the northern São Francisco Craton and southern Borborema Province.

Evidence of mid- to late-Holocene explosive rhyolitic eruptions from Chaitén Volcano, Chile

open access: yesAndean Geology, 2013
The 2008 eruption of Chaitén Volcano was widely cited as the first activity at the volcano for over 9000 years. However, we have identified evidence from proximal pyroclastic deposits for three additional explosive eruptions of Chaitén within the past ...

Teleseismic Radial Anisotropy Reveals a Sill‐Dominated Magma Reservoir Beneath the Valles Caldera, New Mexico

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 6, 28 March 2026.
Abstract The Valles Caldera (VC), one of the largest Quaternary silicic calderas in North America, formed by explosive rhyolitic eruptions. Seismic studies suggest a crustal magmatic reservoir beneath the caldera with low‐velocity anomalies, but resolving the detailed geometry of localized melt requires constraints from seismic anisotropy.

Timescales of carbon turnover in soils with mixed crystalline mineralogies

open access: yes, 2017
Organic matter–mineral associations stabilize much of the carbon (C) stored globally in soils. Metastable short-range-order (SRO) minerals such as allophane and ferrihydrite provide one mechanism for long-term stabilization of organic matter in young ...
