Toxicity and Sublethal Effects of Phthalides Analogs to Rhyzopertha dominica
Chemistry & Biodiversity, 2019AbstractPhthalides and their precursors have demonstrated a large variety of biological activities. Eighteen phthalides were synthesized and tested on the stored grain pest Rhyzopertha dominica. In the screening bioassay, compounds rac‐(2R,2aS,4R,4aS,6aR,6bS,7R)‐7‐bromohexahydro‐2,4‐methano‐1,6‐dioxacyclopenta[cd]pentalen‐5(2H)‐one (15) and rac‐(3R,3aR,

Do walking Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) locate cereal hosts by chance?
Journal of Stored Products Research, 2008To clarify the role of host odours in host location by walking Rhyzopertha dominica, locomotory responses of beetles were investigated in an experimental arena. Movements of beetle downwind of clean wheat, brown rice or maize, or wheat infested by conspecifics, were recorded by video and analysed using motion analysis software.

Modeling and analyzing the dielectric properties of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.)
TENCON 2011 - 2011 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2011Dielectric properties of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.), Lesser Grain Borer with frequency range 200MHz–20GHz and Temperature range 24–65°C has been measured by using high temperature probe (Agilent). Measurement temperature points were 18. Then analyze the differentiation of dielectric properties of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) and Malaysian paddy D219. After

Sexing live adult Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) (Coleoptera: Bostrychidae)
Journal of Stored Products Research, 1981Abstract A recently published method of sexing live adult Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) using a punctuate groove on the fifth abdominal sternite of the males was found unsatisfactory for the strains from Queensland, Australia. Detailed assessment was made of the squeezing and colour methods of sexing live adult beetles.

Toxic effects of Nigella sativa against Rhyzopertha dominica (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae).
Journal of Agricultural Science and Botany, 2018This study was conducted at the Institute of Plant and Environmental Protection, Insect Pest Management Program (IPMP), Stored Grain Management laboratory (NARC) Islamabad in 2018. The Insecticidal effects of essential oil i.e. Nigella sativa at the concentration of 10, 4, 2 and 1 percent showed insecticidal effect (as high as 44.44%) at concentration (

Improved high-throughput bioassay for Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae)
Journal of Stored Products Research, 2013As we gain more information through functional genomic studies of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.), we need a high-throughput bioassay system to screen potential biopesticides. Rhyzopertha dominica is an internal feeder during immature stages and presents unique challenges with traditional bioassay methods.

Genetics of resistance to phosphine in Rhyzopertha dominica (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae).
Journal of economic entomology, 2002The inheritance of resistance to phosphine was studied in two strains of the lesser grain borer, Rhyzopertha dominica (F.), labeled 'Weak-R' and 'Strong-R'. These strains were purified versions of field-selected populations collected in Queensland, Australia.

Factors influencing initiation of flight by Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae)
Journal of Stored Products Research, 1993Abstract Rhyzopertha dominica is the most important pest of stored grain in Australia, in part because of its well known, but poorly documented, ability to fly long distances and find new parcels of grain. In this paper we consider the influences of population density, starvation, age and time of day on initiation of flight of adult R.
