Modeling and analyzing the dielectric properties of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.)
TENCON 2011 - 2011 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2011Dielectric properties of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.), Lesser Grain Borer with frequency range 200MHz–20GHz and Temperature range 24–65°C has been measured by using high temperature probe (Agilent). Measurement temperature points were 18. Then analyze the differentiation of dielectric properties of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) and Malaysian paddy D219. After

Genetics of resistance to phosphine in Rhyzopertha dominica (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae).
Journal of economic entomology, 2002The inheritance of resistance to phosphine was studied in two strains of the lesser grain borer, Rhyzopertha dominica (F.), labeled 'Weak-R' and 'Strong-R'. These strains were purified versions of field-selected populations collected in Queensland, Australia.

Rhyzopertha dominica (lesser grain borer).
2021Abstract Females of R. dominica lay between 200 and 500 eggs in their lifetime. The eggs are laid loose in grain. The lowest temperature at which R. dominica can complete development is 20°C; at this temperature, the development from egg to adult takes 90 days.

Movement of Rhyzopertha dominica in response to temperature gradients in stored wheat
Journal of Stored Products Research, 2011The movement and temperature preference of Rhyzopertha dominica was determined in a 56 cm diameter cylinder with 9 cm high sides containing 19.9 kg of hard red winter wheat. Two temperature gradients were tested over a 24 h period: 42 to 20 C and 24 to 20 C with the cooler temperature being on the periphery of the cylinder.

Purification, characterization and inhibition studies of α-amylase of Rhyzopertha dominica
Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2010Abstract Rhyzopertha dominica causes extensive damage to stored wheat grains. α-Amylase, the major insect digestive enzyme, can be an attractive candidate to control the insect damage by inhibiting the enzyme through α-amylase inhibitors. R. dominica α-amylase (RDA) was purified to homogeneity by differential ammonium sulphate fractionation ...

Impact of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) on quality parameters of milled rice
Journal of Stored Products Research, 2012Abstract The impact of Rhyzopertha dominica , the lesser grain borer, on milling quality of Francis and Wells cultivars of rough rice was assessed for the 2007 and 2008 crop years by infesting 200-g rough rice samples harvested at moderate and low moisture contents with 0, 10, 25, 50, and 100 parental adult insects, which were removed after one week.

Prevalence of resistance to deltamethrin in Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) in eastern Australia
Journal of Stored Products Research, 2018Abstract The pyrethroid, deltamethrin, is currently used as a grain protectant to protect stored grain from insect pests in several countries including Australia. We examined the variation in response to wheat treated with deltamethrin among 15 field populations of the lesser grain borer, Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) collected from Queensland and New ...

Effects of starvation period on the locomotory response of Rhyzopertha dominica (F.)
Journal of Stored Products Research, 2008Abstract In the context of developing a behavioural bioassay, the effects of 1–5 days starvation on the locomotory responses of Rhyzopertha dominica were investigated. Movements in an experimental arena with airflow were videoed and analysed using computerised tracking and motion analysis software.

The biology and susceptibility to ionizing radiation of Rhyzopertha dominica (Fabricius)
2016The rate of development in flour and grain, adult longevity and female fecundity of a strain of Rhyzopetrtha dominica (Fabricius) were measured under constant conditions of temperature and relative humidity. The time required for the development of adults from eggs was 36.3 ± 0.4 days in flour and 32.4 ± 0.4 days in grain. Adult females lived 50 .9 ± 3.

Bionomics and Morphometric Study of Rhyzopertha dominica Fabricius on Stored Wheat
Journal of Experimental Agriculture InternationalThe lesser grain borer, Rhyzopertha dominica (Fabricius), is a major pest of stored wheat, causing substantial post-harvest losses worldwide. Despite its economic importance, detailed biological and morphometric data on this species remain limited. The present study was conducted at Regional Research Station, AAU, Anand to investigate the bionomics and
