Does sorption of sulfuryl fluoride by wheat reduce its efficacy against adults and eggs of Rhyzopertha dominica? [PDF]
Despite its growing importance as a fumigant for grain, there is no information on the impact of sorption on the efficacy of sulfuryl fluoride (SF) against target insect pests. Eggs and adults of a major grain pest, Rhyzopertha dominica, living in wheat (

Dispersal ofRhyzopertha dominica(Coleoptera: Bostrichidae) in Different Habitats [PDF]
The lesser grain borer, Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae), a serious pest of stored cereal grains, is widely distributed and has been collected in different habitats in North America, such as those from agricultural and nonagricultural settings.

Lethal concentration (LC) values of pirimiphos‐methyl and chlorfenapyr were lower for females than males of Trogoderma granarium. The exposure of males and females to pirimiphos‐methyl or chlorfenapyr LC10 and LC30 affected negatively their walking behavior and velocity.

Inheritance and Characterization of Strong Resistance to Phosphine in Sitophilus oryzae (L.) [PDF]
Sitophilus oryzae (Linnaeus) is a major pest of stored grain across Southeast Asia and is of increasing concern in other regions due to the advent of strong resistance to phosphine, the fumigant used to protect stored grain from pest insects.

Effect of Nitrogen on Stored-Product Insect Control at Industrial Scale
In this study, we evaluated the insecticidal effect of nitrogen against Sitophilus granarius (L.), Sitophilus oryzae (L.), Rhyzopertha dominica (F.), Prostephanus truncatus (Horn), Tribolium confusum Jacquelin du Val, and Oryzaephilus surinamensis (L ...

Responses to colour and host odour cues in three cereal pest species, in the context of ecology and control [PDF]
Many insects show a greater attraction to multimodal cues, e.g. odour and colour combined, than to either cue alone. Despite the potential to apply the knowledge to improve control strategies, studies of multiple stimuli have not been undertaken for ...
