2‐D Geodynamic Modeling of the Central South Atlantic Wide Rifted Margins, Implications for Evaporite Deposition

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 129, Issue 5, May 2024.
Abstract The thick late syn‐ to early post‐rift shallow water evaporites in the most distal part of wide rifted margins is paradoxical with the deep depression at crustal breakup time predicted by isostatically compensated lithospheric thinning. Elevation of the distal margin and water depth during deposition of the late syn‐rift evaporites in the ...

Favorability mapping of hydrotermal vein-type lead deposits: a case study in Ribeira Valley, Brazil

open access: yesRevista do Instituto Geológico, 2018
The region of the Ribeira Valley is known for its metallic sulphide deposits (lead, zinc, copper, silver and gold), being the major lead producer of the Brazil in the 1950s. Since then, it has become the target of several geological studies from which two models of lead and zinc mineralization known as Perau and Panelas models were proposed. This study
