Isolation and organization of calf ribosomal DNA
Ribosomal DNA (rDNA) from calf was isolated by three density gradient centrifugations. The first centrifugation in Cs2S04/BAMD was used to obtain partially resolved dG+dC-rich fractions from total DNA. The second and third centrifugations, in Cs2S04/Ag+, led to the isolation of an rDNA fraction characterized by a symmetrical band in CsCl, p = 1.724 g ...

Taxonomic Study of French Guiana Fungi to Identify and Isolate Pure Cultured Fungi for Oleoresin Production in Aquilaria: Use of Sequences from the Small Ribosomal DNA (R) Subunit (SSU) and the Two Primer Pairs SR6/SR10R and SR7/SR1R [PDF]
Fungi from tropical regions are currently under-represented in the classification system. Indeed, difficult access to tropical forests makes it complicated to study fungus species in such environments, unlike in European zones where fungal diversity and ...

Sperm‐derived circRNA‐1572 competitively binds to bta‐miR‐2478‐L‐2 through a “sponge” mechanism to regulate cyclin B2 (CCNB2) expression, thereby modulating the distribution of fibrous actin (F‐actin) in early pig embryos, ensuring proper chromosome segregation during mitosis, and facilitating normal embryo cleavage and zygotic genome activation.

Catalogue of fungi in China 2. Ramaria from northern China
The species of Ramaria are coralloid-fungi with intricately branched and vividly coloured basidiomata. There are many studies on the genus Ramaria in China, but molecular phylogenetic analysis is rarely employed.

The unknotted strands of life: knots are very rare in RNA structures [PDF]
The ongoing effort to detect and characterize physical entanglement in biopolymers has so far established that knots are present in many globular proteins and also abound in viral DNA packaged inside bacteriophages. RNA molecules, on the other hand, have not yet been systematically screened for the occurrence of physical knots.

The target of rapamycin (TOR) complex is a central plant growth regulator. Here, the protein–protein interactions underlying its various functions are mapped by pupylation‐based proximity‐labeling in Arabidopsis, using TOR complex subunits LST8‐1 and RAPTOR1, alongside TOR inhibitor FK506‐binding protein, as baits.

Molecular interactions between the constituents of small ribosomal subunit [PDF]
Availability of high-resolution crystal structures of ribosomal subunits of different species opens a route to investigate about molecular interactions between its constituents and stabilization strategy. Structural analysis of the small ribosomal subunit shows that primary binder proteins are mainly employed in stabilizing the folded ribosomal RNA by ...
