Box C/D snoRNP complex regulates protein translation. This study identifies ZNHIT3 as a key component of the complex and ensures normal protein expression, including transcription factors orchestrating cell fate commitment, during early mouse embryogenesis.

Sperm‐derived circRNA‐1572 competitively binds to bta‐miR‐2478‐L‐2 through a “sponge” mechanism to regulate cyclin B2 (CCNB2) expression, thereby modulating the distribution of fibrous actin (F‐actin) in early pig embryos, ensuring proper chromosome segregation during mitosis, and facilitating normal embryo cleavage and zygotic genome activation.

Slowing translation to avoid ribosome population extinction and maintain stable allocation at slow growth rates [PDF]
To double the cellular population of ribosomes, a fraction of the active ribosomes is allocated to synthesize ribosomal proteins. Subsequently, these ribosomal proteins enter the ribosome self-assembly process, synthesizing new ribosomes and forming the well-known ribosome autocatalytic subcycle.

The target of rapamycin (TOR) complex is a central plant growth regulator. Here, the protein–protein interactions underlying its various functions are mapped by pupylation‐based proximity‐labeling in Arabidopsis, using TOR complex subunits LST8‐1 and RAPTOR1, alongside TOR inhibitor FK506‐binding protein, as baits.

Ribosomal RNA N-glycosylase Activity Assay of Ribosome-inactivating Proteins
Ribosome-inactivating proteins (RIPs) are enzymes that irreversibly inactivate ribosomes as a consequence of their N-glycosylase (EC 3.2.2.22) activity. The enzyme cleaves the N-glycosidic bond between the adenine No.

A novel strategy combining borate glass and ultrasound is proposed for the precise treatment of breast cancer. The locally delivered borate glass releases Ca2⁺ ions in situ, while ultrasound activates the highly expressed transient receptor potential vanilloid 2 channels in breast cancer cells. This synergistic effect induces specific calcium overload,

Ribosome Flow Model with Extended Objects [PDF]
We study a deterministic mechanistic model for the flow of ribosomes along the mRNA molecule, called the ribosome flow model with extended objects (RFMEO). This model encapsulates many realistic features of translation including non-homogeneous transition rates along the mRNA, the fact that every ribosome covers several codons, and the fact that ...

Inhibitors of protein synthesis cause defects in the assembly of ribosomal subunits. In response to treatment with the antibiotics erythromycin or chloramphenicol, precursors of both large and small ribosomal subunits accumulate.
