Lateral Failure of Spars [PDF]

open access: yes
It was concluded that after the critical span or depth-breadth ratio has been reached, the modulus of rupture varies approximately inversely as the first power of the span and of the depth-breadth ratio.

Transparent Transfer‐Free Ultrasmall Multilayer Graphene Microelectrodes Enable High Quality Recordings in Brain Slices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A transfer‐free fabrication method enables multilayer graphene microelectrodes as small as 10 µm, eliminating reliability issues of manual graphene transfer. These electrodes record neural activity in brain slices with exceptional signal‐to‐noise ratios (up to 25–40 dB) while maintaining optical transparency for multimodal applications.

Rib‐Reinforced Ultralight and Ultra‐Strong Shell Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study thoroughly reveals the relation between the curvature and stress direction of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) thin shell lattices and proposes a novel rib reinforcement design strategy to incorporate ribs along the line of asymptotes (LOA) and the line of principal curvatures (LOC) to enhance the strength of ultralight TPMS shell ...

The medieval ‘scientia' of structures: the rules of Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Medieval builders didn't have a scientific structural theory, however gothic cathedrals were not build without a theory. Gothic masters had a ‘scientia', a body of knowledge which permitted the safe design of their buildings.

CD3ɛ Nanobody‐Engineered Extracellular Vesicles Driving In Vivo Generation of TCE‐secreting CAR‐Ts for Solid Tumor Therapy With Memory Response and Minimal Immunogenicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HEK‐293T‐derived CD3ε Nb‐engineered EVs to generate dual‐targeting CAR‐T cells directly in vivo. These EVs selectively deliver CAR.BiTE transgenes into T cells and reprogramed to HLA‐G/PD‐L1‐targeting effector cells with enhanced memory and persistence.
