Abstract Biodiversity monitoring programs and citizen science data remain heavily biased toward the Global North. Especially in megadiverse countries with limited biodiversity records, incorporating social media data can help address existing data gaps.

Allergic contact dermatitis markedly impairs quality of life (QoL) across symptoms, functioning and emotional domains. Using DLQI, Skindex‐29 and EQ‐5D‐5L, our study demonstrates a substantial multidimensional burden and highlights the need for routine, patient‐centred QoL assessment in clinical management.

This case–control study shows that patients with allergic contact dermatitis have a higher burden of psychopathological symptoms than controls, particularly in phobic anxiety and somatization, highlighting the frequent coexistence of psychological distress in allergic contact dermatitis.
