Noncommutative Root Space Witt, Ricci Flow, and Poisson Bracket Continual Lie Algebras

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2009

Ecology and Diversity of Urban Drosophila Species Communities as Potential Indicators of Biodiversity Decline

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
We investigated urban Drosophila communities in Vienna using ~18,000 specimens collected with citizen scientists, identifying 13 species including two new records for Austria (D. mercatorum and D. virilis). Compared to surveys 30 years ago, species richness has declined by more than 50%, with formerly common species replaced by neobiotic taxa.

Ricci Solitons in β-Kenmotsu Manifolds

open access: yesAnnals of the West University of Timisoara: Mathematics and Computer Science, 2018
The object of the present paper is to study Ricci soliton in β-Kenmotsu manifolds. Here it is proved that a symmetric parallel second order covariant tensor in a β-Kenmotsu manifold is a constant multiple of the metric tensor.

Different Flowering Strategies Ensure Reproductive Success in Two Coexisting Self‐Incompatible Orchids

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study compares the reproductive strategies of two self‐incompatible orchids, Pholidota articulata (mass‐flowering) and Coelogyne prolifera (steady‐state flowering). Despite differences in pollinator visitation and pollinia transfer efficiency—higher in P. articulata—both species achieved similar natural fruit set rates over 3 years.
