ABSTRACT The flail limb syndrome is primarily a lower motor neuron disorder that initially affects proximal arm muscles (flail arm syndrome—FAS) or distal leg muscles (flail leg syndrome—FLS). Both were recognized early on (1886 for FAS and 1918 for FLS) as somewhat distinct from classic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

In this paper, we investigate the geometric properties of η-Ricci–Bourguignon (η-RB) solitons on para-Sasakian manifolds equipped with a semisymmetric nonmetric connection (SSNMC). By employing the complete lift on the tangent bundle, we derive curvature

Ricci Flow and Volume Renormalizability [PDF]
With respect to any special boundary defining function, a conformally compact asymptotically hyperbolic metric has an asymptotic expansion near its conformal infinity. If this expansion is even to a certain order and satisfies one extra condition, then it is possible to define its renormalized volume and show that it is independent of choices that ...

Ricci flows with bursts of unbounded curvature [PDF]
Given a completely arbitrary surface, whether or not it has bounded curvature, or even whether or not it is complete, there exists an instantaneously complete Ricci flow evolution of that surface that exists for a specific amount of time [GT11].

ABSTRACT User personas are important tools for user understanding in human‐computer interaction (HCI), and understanding how personas contribute to environmental sustainability across research and practice contexts is increasingly important. Our systematic review of 36 articles on persona research in environmental sustainability reveals four key ...

Metric flows with neural networks
We develop a general theory of flows in the space of Riemannian metrics induced by neural network (NN) gradient descent. This is motivated in part by recent advances in approximating Calabi–Yau metrics with NNs and is enabled by recent advances in ...

DNA‐Enzyme Hybrid Nanostructures: Functional Materials to Modulate Enzymatic Activity
DNA–enzyme hybrid nanostructures enable precise spatial and stoichiometric control over enzyme organization, offering a powerful platform to modulate catalytic activity. This review critically evaluates key mechanistic hypotheses, including proximity effects, microenvironment changes, confinement, and stabilization, as well as highlighting ...

A COMPACTNESS RESULT FOR FANO MANIFOLDS AND KÄHLER RICCI FLOWS
We obtain a compactness result for Fano manifolds and Kahler Ricci flows. Comparing to the more general Riemannian versions in Anderson (Invent Math 102(2):429-445, 1990) and Hamilton (Am J Math 117:545-572, 1995), in this Fano case, the curvature ...

This paper investigates the complete lift of para-Sasakian structures to the tangent bundle equipped with the Schouten–van Kampen connection (SVKC). By analyzing curvature tensors and soliton equations, we establish the existence of Ricci, Yamabe, and η ...
