A Framework for Training-Based Estimation in Arbitrarily Correlated Rician MIMO Channels With Rician Disturbance

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2010
In this paper, we create a framework for training-based channel estimation under different channel and interference statistics. The minimum mean square error (MMSE) estimator for channel matrix estimation in Rician fading multi-antenna systems is analyzed, and especially the design of mean square error (MSE) minimizing training sequences.

Effective Modeling of Continuous Wave Z‐Spectra for Quantitative CEST and CESL MRI Across Exchange Regimes

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 5, Page 2474-2488, November 2026.
Purpose Chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) and chemical exchange‐sensitive spin‐lock (CESL) MRI enable spectroscopic imaging with high sensitivity, but conventional analysis methods often fail as exchange approaches the fast‐exchange limit.

Analysis of Coded FHSS Systems with Multiple Access Interference over Generalized Fading Channels

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2008
We study the effect of interference on the performance of coded FHSS systems. This is achieved by modeling the physical channel in these systems as a block fading channel.

Bendlet Transform Based Adaptive Denoising Method for Microsection Images

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) plays an important role in disease diagnosis. The noise that appears in MRI images is commonly governed by a Rician distribution. The bendlets system is a second-order shearlet transform with bent elements.

High‐Temporal‐Resolution Monitoring of Creatine and Phosphocreatine Dynamics in Skeletal Muscle Using Ultrafast Z‐Spectroscopy (UFZ) CEST MRI at 3T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 4, Page 1798-1805, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To evaluate the feasibility of High‐Temporal‐Resolution (HTR) Ultrafast Z‐spectrum (UFZ) CEST MRI for monitoring the dynamic fluctuations of phosphocreatine (PCr) and creatine (Cr) in human skeletal muscle (SM) at 3 T during and after exercise.

Technical Feasibility of IVIM for Prostate Cancer Imaging Using High‐Amplitude Whole‐Body Gradient System With Spiral Readout and Velocity‐Compensated Diffusion Encoding

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 10, October 2026.
The combination of velocity‐compensated diffusion encoding, spiral readout and strong gradients enabled high‐quality prostate IVIM imaging, offering a promising framework for the development of reliable IVIM‐based biomarkers for prostate cancer detection, characterisation and monitoring.

Performance Analysis of Dense Small Cell Networks With Practical Antenna Heights Under Rician Fading

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, we examine the combined impacts of distance-dependent Rician fading channel model and the absolute difference between the heights of base station (BS) and user equipment (UE) antennas on the coverage probability and the area spectral ...

DeepRelaxo: Fast Mono‐Exponential Magnitude Brain R2* Mapping With Reduced Echoes Using Self‐Supervised Deep Learning

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1293-1302, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose We introduce DeepRelaxo, a fast and generalizable deep learning method for estimating brain R2* maps from multi‐echo gradient echo (ME‐GRE) acquisitions with arbitrary echo configurations, including shortened echo trains for accelerated scans.
