PEK14: A Kinesin‐4 Necessary for Male‐Derived Fertility in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Of the 61 kinesins annotated in Arabidopsis thaliana, many are still without assigned function. Here, we have screened an insertional mutant library of Arabidopsis pollen‐expressed kinesins for fertility defects. Insertional mutants for three kinesins showed a significant reduction in seed set.

The Electronic Spin State of Diradicals Obtained from the Nuclear Perspective: The Strange Case of Chichibabin Radicals

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The electronic spin state of two Chichibabin radicals is investigated using 2‐dimensional hyperfine correlated Electron Nuclear Double Resonance. The protons (I=1/2) act as a reference for the electronic spin quantum number (S) via their hyperfine interactions.

Multinationals are Multicultural Units: Some Indications from a Cross-Cultural Study [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper makes a case for the value of looking at culture and multinationals from a management and organizational perspective because it is one which could direct greater attention towards culture as a significant factor in future investigation on ...

ESG Rating Disagreement and the Size of the Investable Universe Under ESG Consensus Rules

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Using ESG scores of listed US companies from Refinitiv, ESG Book, MSCI, Moody's ESG, Bloomberg, and Sustainalytics for the period 2003–2022, we examine the extent of ESG rating disagreement and how it shapes the investable universe under ESG consensus rules.

Caving‐enhanced geothermal system overwhelms fracturing‐ and pipe‐enhanced geothermal system in heat extraction

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Our study reveals that caving‐enhanced geothermal systems (C‐EGS) with adequately fractured reservoirs achieve optimal heat extraction by minimizing preferential flow paths, while conventional fracturing (F‐EGS) and pipe‐based (P‐EGS) systems suffer accelerated thermal drawdown.

Dental development in the tropical gar (Atractosteus tropicus) and the evolution of vertebrate dentitions

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Dentitions have diversified enormously during vertebrate evolution, involving reductions, modifications, or allocations to prey seizing and processing regions. A combination of ancient and novel features related to dental and oropharyngeal apparatuses is found in extant lineages of non‐teleost fishes, such as the gars.

Single‐cell sequencing reveals potential novel insights into appendage‐patterning and joint‐development in a spider

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Jointed appendages represent one of the key innovations of arthropods, and thus understanding the development and evolution of these structures is important for the understanding of the evolutionary success of Arthropoda. In this paper, we analyze a cell cluster that was identified in a previous single‐cell sequencing (SCS ...
