Ridge

Proceedings of the 16th international symposium on High performance distributed computing, 2007
Large-scale donation-based distributed infrastructures need to cope with the inherent unreliability of participant nodes. A widely-used work scheduling technique in such environments is to redundantly schedule the out sourced computations to a number of nodes.

Fingermark ridge drift

Forensic Science International, 2016
Distortions of the fingermark topography are usually considered when comparing latent and exemplar fingerprints. These alterations are characterized as caused by an extrinsic action, which affects entire areas of the deposition and alters the overall flow of a series of contiguous ridges. Here we introduce a novel visual phenomenon that does not follow

Sphenoidal Ridge Meningioma

1986
Sphenoidal ridge meningiomas originate from this sharp limit separating the subfrontal region from the temporal fossa. As Cushing and Eisenhardt5 put it in their Monography published in 1938: “Sharply demarcating frontal from middle basilar fossa, a bony ridge curves outward on a horizontal plane from the anterior clinoidal process toward the lateral ...

Ridge Preservation/Decoronation

Journal of Endodontics, 2013
Dentoalveolar ankylosis of a tooth is a serious complication in growing individuals. The ankylosed root is continuously resorbed and replaced by bone, and an infraposition of the damaged tooth will develop. The normal alveolar development will be disrupted in this way, and prosthetic treatment will be compromised.

Mid-ocean Ridges

2017
Mid-ocean ridges illustrate well how volcanic, tectonic, hydrothermal and sedimentary processes sculpt geomorphology in the deep ocean. Because of their poor accessibility (lying 2700 m below sea level on average) and remote locations, the development and deployment of new technology has been important for the discovery and investigation of new ...
