Mid-ocean ridge hydrothermal fluxes and the chemical composition of the ocean
Oceanographic Literature Review, 1996▪ Abstract Geophysical estimates of mid-ocean ridge axial heat fluxes (2–4 × 1012 W) and of the total hydrothermal flux (9 ± 2 × 1012 W) are well established.

Dimensional ridge alterations following tooth extraction. An experimental study in the dog.
Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 2005OBJECTIVE To study dimensional alterations of the alveolar ridge that occurred following tooth extraction as well as processes of bone modelling and remodelling associated with such change.

Mantle flow and melting beneath oceanic ridge–ridge–ridge triple junctions
Earth and Planetary Science Letters, 2008Abstract Plate boundary geometry likely has an important influence on crustal production at mid-ocean ridges. Many studies have explored the effects of geometrical features such as transform offsets and oblique ridge segments on mantle flow and melting. This study investigates how triple junction (TJ) geometry may influence mantle dynamics.

Ridge Preservation/Decoronation
Journal of Endodontics, 2013Dentoalveolar ankylosis of a tooth is a serious complication in growing individuals. The ankylosed root is continuously resorbed and replaced by bone, and an infraposition of the damaged tooth will develop. The normal alveolar development will be disrupted in this way, and prosthetic treatment will be compromised.

Ridge Suction Drives Plume-Ridge Interactions
2004Deep-sourced mantle plumes, if existing, are genetically independent of plate tectonics. When the ascending plumes approach lithospheric plates, interactions between the two occur. Such interactions are most prominent near ocean ridges where the lithosphere is thin and the effect of plumes is best revealed.

Fracture of the Trapezial Ridge
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1992The trapezial ridge is a longitudinal projection of bone on the palmar surface of the trapezium and serves as an attachment for a portion of the transverse carpal ligament. It can be fractured from a fall onto the outstretched palm. Presented here is a case report of a young woman who sustained a fracture of the trapezial ridge.

An iterative method for flattering the ridge in the Ridge regression
Applied Economics Letters, 2007In many cases of multiple regression in an undefined system, some independent variables may not be orthogonal to each other. In such cases, the systems either are not solvable or induce incorrect results which could vary with the data used. Such problems are often overcome by using the Ridge regression method.

Nuclear Physics A, 2011
Abstract The STAR Collaboration has studied the pseudorapidity ( η ) elongated two-particle correlation structure known as the “ridge” since the first RHIC run. This ridge-like feature is observed in two-particle correlations with and without a selected tag, or trigger particle.
