Deconstructing blazars: A different scheme for jet kinematics in flat-spectrum AGN [PDF]
Recent VLBI studies of the morphology and kinematics of individual BL Lac objects (S5 1803+784, PKS 0735+178, etc.) have revealed a new paradigm for the pc-scale jet kinematics of these sources.

A new class of living liquid metal composites is introduced, embedding Bacillus subtilis endospores into eutectic gallium–indium (EGaIn). The spores enhance droplet coalescence, strengthen interfacial conductivity, and provide on‐demand electrogenic functionality after germination. The composites exhibit high conductivity, self‐healing, patternability,

A non‐annealed process is developed for non‐PEDOT:PSS inverted tin‐lead perovskite solar cells to attain PCE 22.67% for the PTAA‐based device. When PTAA is applied in an all‐perovskite tandem solar cell, a record efficiency of 28.14% is obtained with great stability for the efficiency maintaining 96% of its original value for 500 h under one‐sun ...

Scalable Thermal Engineering via Femtosecond Laser‐Direct‐Written Phononic Nanostructures
This study demonstrates that femtosecond laser‐induced periodic surface structures (fs‐LIPSS) can function as phononic metasurfaces, reducing thermal conductivity below the plain thin‐film limit. Phonon Monte Carlo analysis reveals that the periodic structures restrict phonon mean free paths.

Imagining xenophobia: Life orientation, language and literature
This article argues that if the learning area Life Orientation is to give substance to the recommendations of the James Report (2000) values will have to be imaginatively apprehended and reinterpreted in each life situation. This article explores ways of

Nano‐ and Micro‐Sized Solid Materials Used as Antiviral Agents
Due to the rise of viral infections in humans and possible viral outbreaks, the use of nano‐ or micro‐sized materials as antiviral agents is rapidly increasing. This review explores their antiviral properties against RNA and DNA viruses, either as a prevention or a treatment tool, by delving into their mechanisms of action and how to properly assess ...
