Seafloor manifestations of fluid seepage at the top of a 2000-metre-deep ridge in the eastern Nankai accretionary wedge: Long-lived venting and tectonic implications

Earth and Planetary Science Letters, 1992
Abstract The results of the 1989 Kaiko-Nankai diving cruise to the eastern Nankai accretionary wedge show that a narrow corridor on the top of a 2000 m deep ridge is characterized by concentrated surface manifestations of fluid seepage and chaotic outcrop orientations, suggesting active faulting along a right-lateral shear zone.

Pattern of Aeolian Sand Transport and Morphological Change in the Foredune Ridge, Shindu Dunefield, Korea: A Case Study during the Winter, December 2000 to March 2001

Journal of Coastal Research, 2009
Abstract This paper's aims are to investigate the pattern of aeolian sand transport and morphological change in the foredune ridge, Shindu dunefield, Korea. For this purpose, erosion pins and sand traps were installed in three zones, and monitored about once a week over the period of study, December 9, 2000 to approximately March 30, 2001.
