Effect of the Riemann-Liouville fractional integral on unbounded variation points

open access: yes, 2020
This paper targets to study the effect of the Riemann-Liouville fractional integral operator on unbounded variation points of a continuous function. In particular, we show that the fractional integral preserves the bounded variation points of a function.

Unique Existence Result of Approximate Solution to Initial Value Problem for Fractional Differential Equation of Variable Order Involving the Derivative Arguments on the Half-Axis

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
The semigroup properties of the Riemann–Liouville fractional integral have played a key role in dealing with the existence of solutions to differential equations of fractional order.

Fractional fundamental lemma and fractional integration by parts formula -- Applications to critical points of Bolza functionals and to linear boundary value problems

open access: yes, 2015
In the first part of the paper, we prove a fractional fundamental (du Bois-Reymond) lemma and a fractional variant of the integration by parts formula. The proof of the second result is based on an integral representation of functions possessing Riemann ...

Existence and Uniqueness Results for Fractional Differential Equations with Riemann-Liouville Fractional Integral Boundary Conditions

open access: yes, 2015
We prove the existence and uniqueness of solution for fractional differential equations with Riemann-Liouville fractional integral boundary conditions. The first existence and uniqueness result is based on Banach’s contraction principle.

Unique Solution of a Coupled Fractional Differential System Involving Integral Boundary Conditions from Economic Model

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We study the existence and uniqueness of the positive solution for the fractional differential system involving the Riemann-Stieltjes integral boundary conditions , , , , , and , where , , and and are the standard Riemann-Liouville derivatives, and ...
