Some Remarks About the Two-Matrix Penner Model and the Kazakov-Migdal Model
I consider the Hermitean two-matrix model with a logarithmic potential which is associated in the one-matrix case with the Penner model. Using loop equations I find an explicit solution of the model at large N (or in the spherical approximation) and ...

Delta-shocks and vacuums in zero-pressure gas dynamics by the flux approximation
In this paper, firstly, by solving the Riemann problem of the zero-pressure flow in gas dynamics with a flux approximation, we construct parameterized delta-shock and constant density solutions, then we show that, as the flux perturbation vanishes, they ...

Large Nc QCD and Harmonic Sums
In the Large-Nc limit of QCD, two--point functions of local operators become Harmonic Sums. I review some properties which follow from this fact and which are relevant for phenomenological applications.

2009 Ford Mustang Performance Test
Our goal is to find the time required for a 2009 Ford Mustang to accelerate from rest to 88 feet per second. We begin with three equations involving force, velocity, and force inverse, which is a value derived from Newton's Law, F=ma.

Optimization of 3D‐Printed Structured Packings—Current State and Future Developments
This paper gives an overview about structured packing development for distillation, surveying heuristic development cycles, computational fluid dynamics simulations, and additive manufacturing techniques. The emerging application of shape optimization to improve packings is emphasized, and its benefits, impact, and limitations are discussed.

Restricted Tweedie stochastic block models
Abstract The stochastic block model (SBM) is a widely used framework for community detection in networks, where the network structure is typically represented by an adjacency matrix. However, conventional SBMs are not directly applicable to an adjacency matrix that consists of nonnegative zero‐inflated continuous edge weights.

Generalized MHD Couette flows in an annuli: the Riemann-sum approximation approach
In this study, a mathematical analysis is presented for unsteady MHD generalized Couette flow of an incompressible and electrically conducting fluid in an annulus formed by two concentric cylinders of infinite length. The governing equations are obtained and solved using Laplace transform and the Riemann sum approximation method.
