Integrate renewable energy system (RES) into grid‐connected load system in enhancing reliability and reducing losses. However, integrating these systems introduce power quality (PQ) issues, especially with non‐linear, critical, and imbalanced loads. Addressing this, a hybrid mantis search‐reptile search algorithm combined with a unified power quality ...

Unsteady dean flow of dusty fluids between two oscillating cylinders
This study investigates the unsteady Dean flow of dusty, viscous, incompressible fluids confined between two oscillating concentric horizontal cylinders under a semi-analytical framework based on Laplace transformation, which is preferred over fully ...

Random Sequential Addition of Hard Spheres in High Euclidean Dimensions
Employing numerical and theoretical methods, we investigate the structural characteristics of random sequential addition (RSA) of congruent spheres in $d$-dimensional Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^d$ in the infinite-time or saturation limit for the first ...

Near Optimal Adjacency Labeling Schemes for Power-Law Graphs [PDF]
An adjacency labeling scheme labels the n nodes of a graph with bit strings in a way that allows, given the labels of two nodes, to determine adjacency based only on those bit strings.

Do All Elliptic Curves of the Same Order Have the Same Difficulty of Discrete Log?
The aim of this paper is to justify the common cryptographic practice of selecting elliptic curves using their order as the primary criterion. We can formalize this issue by asking whether the discrete log problem (DLOG) has the same difficulty for all ...

Compact binary evolutions with the Z4c formulation [PDF]
Numerical relativity simulations of compact binaries with the Z4c and BSSNOK formulations are compared. The Z4c formulation is advantageous in every case considered.

Seagrass recovery trajectories and recovery potential in relation to nutrient reduction
Within a large seascape (15,000 km2) the least eutrophicated region showed seagrass recovery upon nutrient reduction. We translated the critical riverine nutrient loads for this recovery, via regional eutrophication indicators, to loads that may enable a sustained recovery in the other regions.

Reformulation of the Covering and Quantizer Problems as Ground States of Interacting Particles
We reformulate the covering and quantizer problems as the determination of the ground states of interacting particles in $\mathbb{R}^d$ that generally involve single-body, two-body, three-body, and higher-body interactions.

Conformally invariant scaling limits in planar critical percolation
This is an introductory account of the emergence of conformal invariance in the scaling limit of planar critical percolation. We give an exposition of Smirnov's theorem (2001) on the conformal invariance of crossing probabilities in site percolation on ...

Model selection and hypothesis testing for large-scale network models with overlapping groups
The effort to understand network systems in increasing detail has resulted in a diversity of methods designed to extract their large-scale structure from data.
