Evaluate Fuzzy Riemann Integrals Using the Monte Carlo Method
Consider a function \(\widetilde f\) defined on the real line whose values are fuzzy numbers. The fuzzy Riemann integral of \(\widetilde f\) is a fuzzy set whose membership function is \(\xi(r)= \sup_{0\leq\alpha\leq 1}\alpha 1_{A_\alpha}(r)\), where \[ A_\alpha= \Biggl[\int^b_a\widetilde f^L_\alpha(x) dx,\;\int^b_a\widetilde f^R_\alpha(x) dx\Biggr] \]

Sleep and Maladaptive Personality Traits: A Twin Study
ABSTRACT Sleep is essential for human functioning, but little attention has been paid to the interplay between sleep and maladaptive personality traits. We examined genetic and environmental associations between sleep and four maladaptive domains (MDs)—Negative Affectivity, Detachment, Disinhibition, and Psychoticism—within the framework of the DSM‐5 ...

An iterative method for solving nonlinear Riemann—Hilbert problems
The author considers the following nonlinear Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problem (RHP): Given a function F find a function w analytic in the unit disc D such that the boundary values \(w(e^{it})=u(t)+iv(t)\) satisfy the equation \(F(t,u(t),v(t))=0\) for all t. The equation \(F(t,u,v)=0\) defines for each t a curve \(M_ t\).

ABSTRACT While previous research has identified emotional dysregulation and repetitive thinking as contributors to insomnia, the interplay between these factors remains unclear. Building upon data previously collected in our laboratory, this exploratory study extends prior findings by examining the mediating role of rumination, worry and rapid eye ...

Sleep‐Related Attentional Bias in Insomnia: A Drift Diffusion Model Approach
ABSTRACT Cognitive models propose that insomnia is maintained in part by selective attention to sleep‐related information, yet reaction‐time indices alone offer limited mechanistic specificity. We investigated sleep‐related attentional bias in adolescents and young adults with insomnia disorder (n = 201; aged 15–24 years; DSM‐5) using a sleep‐related ...

ABSTRACT Chronic insomnia is commonly reported in primary care settings. One‐session cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT‐I) is a brief intervention designed to fit the fast‐paced nature of primary care but has not been studied in this context.

The “Not Better Explained” (NBE) criterion plays a key role in preventing diagnostic misclassification by structuring causal reasoning in sleep medicine. This systematic content analysis compares the use, wording, and excluded conditions of NBE criteria across the ICSD‐3‐TR and DSM‐5‐TR for ten major sleep disorders.

Change Point Analysis for Functional Data Using Empirical Characteristic Functionals
ABSTRACT We develop a new method to detect change points in the distribution of functional data based on integrated CUSUM processes of empirical characteristic functionals. Asymptotic results are presented under conditions allowing for low‐order moments and serial dependence in the data establishing the limiting null‐distribution of the proposed test ...

ABSTRACT The paper deals with the construction of a synthetic indicator of economic growth, obtained by projecting a quarterly measure of aggregate economic activity, namely gross domestic product (GDP), into the space spanned by a finite number of smooth principal components, representative of the medium‐to‐long‐run component of economic growth of a ...
