Equivalences of Nonlinear Higher Order Fractional Differential Equations With Integral Equations
ABSTRACT Equivalences of initial value problems (IVPs) of both nonlinear higher order (Riemann–Liouville type) fractional differential equations (FDEs) and Caputo FDEs with the corresponding integral equations are studied in this paper. It is proved that the nonlinearities in the FDEs can be L1$$ {L}^1 $$‐Carathéodory with suitable conditions.

On Geometric Phase Model in the Theory of Curves With Myller Configuration
ABSTRACT In this paper, we introduce a linearly polarized light wave in an optical fiber and rotation of the polarization plane through the Frenet‐type frame with Myller configuration. Since the geometric evaluation and interpretations of a polarized light wave are associated with geometric phase, a new type of geometric phase model has been ...

The Riemann problem for a class of nonlinear degenerate equations [PDF]
In the present paper, we study the Riemann problem for degenerate equations in which the pressure is constant over some range of stains. By the Liu-entropy condition, the Riemann solutions of twelve regions in the v–u plane are completely constructed ...

Composition of Fractional Integral and Derivative Operators: Summarised in Tables
ABSTRACT This paper compiles a complete, detailed list of composition properties for Riemann–Liouville fractional differintegrals, in all possible cases for orders anywhere in the complex plane, with the results presented clearly in a table for easy visual consumption.

ABSTRACT We develop a unified mathematical framework extending classical moment theory from discrete integer orders to a continuous spectrum of real orders f>0$$ f>0 $$, providing a systematic statistical characterization of complex systems exhibiting power‐law behavior.

On the Existence of Solutions of Dynamic Equations on Time Scales in Banach Spaces
ABSTRACT In this paper we address the question of solvability of dynamic equations on time scales in Banach spaces. In particular, our main theorem extends the result for classical differential equations in Banach spaces of Banaś and Goebel established in [5], to an arbitrary time scale.

Some identities related to Riemann zeta-function
It is well known that the Riemann zeta-function ζ ( s ) $\zeta(s)$ plays a very important role in the study of analytic number theory. In this paper, we use the elementary method and some new inequalities to study the computational problem of one kind of

ABSTRACT The first or higher order Riemann–Liouville (R‐L) type fractional derivatives are studied. The relations between the R‐L type fractional derivatives and the classical R‐L fractional derivatives are obtained and the spaces of functions on which the R‐L type fractional derivatives exist are provided.

A Riemann problem in gas dynamics with bifurcation [PDF]
We construct the solution of the Riemann problem for 2 × 2 isothermal gas dynamics in a duct with discontinuous diameter. Besides shocks and rarefaction, there are standing waves. The solution exists globally. It is obtained as an asymptotic solution for
