Entropy on effect algebras with the Riesz decomposition property. I: Basic properties. [PDF]
Summary: We define entropy, lower and upper entropy, and conditional entropy of a dynamical system consisting of an effect algebra with the Riesz decomposition property, a state and a transformation. Such effect algebras allow many refinements of two partitions.

Quotients of partial abelian monoids and the Riesz decomposition property
Algebra Universalis, 2002Partial abelian monoids are structures \((P;\perp ,\oplus ,0)\) where \(\oplus \) is a partially defined binary operation with domain \(\perp \) which is commutative and associative in a restricted sense, and \(0\) is the neutral element. In the paper, partial abelian monoids with the Riesz decomposition property are studied.

Logical entropy on effect algebras with the Riesz decomposition property
European Physical Journal Plus, 2018In this study, the notion of logical entropy is generalized for the case when the considered probability space is an effect algebra with the Riesz decomposition property. We define the logical entropy and conditional logical entropy of finite partitions in an effect algebra with the Riesz decomposition property and prove the basic properties of these ...
