X-ray diffraction profile analysis of green synthesized ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles

open access: yesMaterials Research Express
ZnO and TiO _2 nanoparticles were prepared through a plant-extract mediated hydrothermal synthesis. X-ray diffraction (XRD) study confirmed the crystalline nature and the phase characteristic of the obtained nanoparticles.

Rietveld Analysis on X-Ray Diffraction Of South Kalimantan Kaolin Clays

open access: yesBerkala Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika, 2018
At least 13 million tons of kaolin claystone lie in several regencies of South Kalimantan covering Banjar, Tapin, Hulu Sungai Utara and Kotabaru regencies. This paper reports an attempt to explore their crystalline state characteristics, projecting their

XRD-Rietveld Method for Evaluating the Leaching Characteristics of Hardened Cement Paste in Flowing Water

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
In order to study the leaching characteristics of hardened cement paste by flowing environmental water, indoor simulated leaching tests of Portland cement paste were carried out at different flow velocities with home-made flow field device and tap water ...

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

A rietveld analysis of the crystal structure of ammonioleucite.

open access: yesMineralogical Journal, 1998
The crystal structure of ammonioleucite was refined by a Rietveld analysis using X-ray diffraction data of the type specimen. The refinement with a space group I4l/a was converged at Rwp=12.12, Rp=9.39, RF=4.86, RB=7.71, and Re=2.55% with lattice parameters of a=13.2106(6) and c=13.7210(7) A. Ammonioleucite is isostructural with leucite. The (Si, Al)O4

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Unlocking Multi‐Valley Energy Pockets and Interface‐Induced Phonon Filtering in InSb Thermoelectrics by Reaction‐Driven Interface Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
InSb, a narrow‐bandgap semiconductor with high carrier mobility, is promising for thermoelectric energy conversion but suffers from high lattice thermal conductivity and strong bipolar conduction. Here, in situ interface engineering using Co2O3 nanoprecursors forms hierarchical CoSbx/In2O3/CoSb3 heterostructures that enhance phonon scattering and ...
