Precambrian crustal evolution and Cretaceous–Palaeogene faulting in West Greenland: Origin and evolution of the Kangâmiut mafic dyke swarm, West Greenland [PDF]

open access: yesGeological Survey of Denmark and Greenland Bulletin, 2006
The Kangâmiut dyke swarm in West Greenland intruded Archaean terrains at 2.04 Ga, and its northern portion was subsequently metamorphosed to granulite facies during the Nagssugtoqidian orogeny(c. 1.8 Ga).

Seismic Sequence Stratigraphy Applied to Reservoir Recognition and Evolution on Marine Carbonatic Ramp—Macaé Group (Albian to Cenomanian) of Campos Basin

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
A classic oil producing interval of the Campos Basin—Macaé Group is revisited through seismic stratigraphic analysis, providing a stratigraphic framework, characteristic depositional and relative time positioning for several complex structural settings.

Pre-collisional architecture of the European distal margin: Inferences from the high-pressure continental units of central Corsica (France)

open access: yesOpen Geosciences, 2023
The Lower Units of Alpine Corsica, France, are fragments of continental crust strongly deformed and metamorphosed under high-pressure metamorphic conditions. Three slices of Lower Units are well exposed in the area between the Asco and Tavignano valleys,

Geochemistry and Geochronology of Magmatic Rocks in Southwestern and Northeastern Cambodia: Implications for the Tectonic Evolution and Metallogenesis of the Loei Fold Belt

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
The composition of intrusive rocks suggests that the magma was likely generated in a subduction‐related setting. The arc crustal thickness in the Phnom Sro Ngam and Halo Prospects was probably < 40 km during emplacement. Zircon U–Pb age range indicates a correlation with Loei Fold Belt magmatic activity.

Tectono‐Sedimentary Evolution of the Neogene İnegöl Basin (NW Anatolia): Constraints on Transtensional Basin Development at the Junction of the Western Anatolian Extensional Province and the North Anatolian Fault Zone

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
The study outlines the tectono‐sedimentary evolution of the İnegöl Basin in north‐western Anatolia. Basin formation was controlled by interacting extensional and strike‐slip fault systems linked to uplift of the Uludağ Massif. Terrestrial sedimentation from the Miocene to Pleistocene is reconstructed using abundant fossil mammal assemblages that ...

Meta‐Virtuality: Strategies of Disembeddedness in Virtual Interiorities

open access: yesJournal of Interior Design, EarlyView., 2022
ABSTRACT To reclaim their seat in the rapidly growing market of virtual space, designers of the built environment can benefit from reevaluating theories that see the virtual as a mere extension/reflection of the physical. By claiming ontological autonomy from external worlds, the virtual is liberated from the hegemonic control of the physical.

Is the Suez Rift in Its Post‐Rift Phase?

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Abstract Failed rifts are widely assumed to enter post‐rift tectonic quiescence after termination of intracontinental rifting, but a comprehensive understanding of their regional morphotectonics is lacking. Our quantitative, rift‐scale geomorphic analyses in the Suez Rift, an archetypal failed rift in Egypt, reveals widespread rifting

Tectonothermal Evolution of the Broadly Rifted Zone, Ethiopian Rift [PDF]

open access: yesTectonics, 2019
AbstractThe Broadly Rifted Zone (BRZ) of southern Ethiopia is a long‐lived and structurally complex segment of the East African Rift System. However, due to poor surface exposure of early synrift strata and a dearth of subsurface data, the evolution of the BRZ remains poorly understood.

Late Quaternary climatic variability in the Eastern Mediterranean recorded in Hermes Cave, Corinth Rift, Greece

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Greek peninsula lies at the intersection of major atmospheric circulation systems, making it a key location for reconstructing past climate variability in the Eastern Mediterranean. In this study, we present a new high‐resolution multi‐proxy speleothem record from Hermes Cave, located on the shoulder of the Corinth Rift in southern Greece.

An Interactive Preoperative Virtual Reality Intervention for Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Oncological Surgery: A Feasibility and Pilot Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Preoperative anxiety is common before surgery and is associated with adverse outcomes, yet access to mental health support remains limited. We evaluated the feasibility and acceptability of a novel preoperative virtual reality (VR) prototype designed to reduce anxiety in patients undergoing cancer surgery.
