Rigged Hilbert Spaces

2016
A considerable part of functional analysis, including the theory of linear operators, particularly the spectral theory, cannot be presented successively without the notion of a rigged Hilbert space.

Geometry of Rigged Hilbert Spaces

2011
In this chapter we study extensions of symmetric non-densely defined operators in the triplets H+⊂ H ⊂H- of rigged Hilbert spaces. The Krasnoselskiĭi formulas discussed in Section 1.7 are based upon the indirect decomposition (1.33), where deficiency subspaces and the domain of symmetric operator may be linearly dependent.

Irreversibility, Resonances and Rigged Hilbert Spaces

2003
Resonance processes are often considered to be a particular case of irreversible processes both at classical and quantum level. Based upon this idea, in this review we present different approaches to resonances in nonrelativistic Quantum Mechanics as well as the relations among them.

Spectral Analysis in Rigged Hilbert Spaces

2015
In Quantum Physics, in particular in the framework of Dirac’s bra and ket formulation, the existence and completeness of “generalized eigenfunctions” plays a prominent role. This chapter explains the most important mathematical aspects on which this formalism is based, the so called “nuclear spectral theorem.” Naturally some preparations are needed. We
