Unstable quantum states and rigged Hilbert spaces

open access: yes, 1979
We apply rigged Hilbert space techniques to the quantum mechanical treatment of unstable states in nonrelativistic scattering theory. We discuss a method which is based on representations of decay amplitudes in terms of expansions over complete sets of generalized eigenvectors of the interacting Hamiltonian, corresponding to complex eigenvalues. These ...

Rigged Hilbert spaces and inductive limits

open access: yes, 2014
We construct a nuclear space $ $ as an inductive limit of finite-dimensional subspaces of a Hilbert space $H$ in such a way that $( ,H, ')$ becomes a rigged Hilbert space, thus simplifying the construction by Bellomonte and Trapani.
