Laparoscopic repair of a right paraduodenal hernia. [PDF]
Right paraduodenal hernia (PDH) results from a primitive gut malrotation. The resultant jejunal mesenteric defect posterior to the superior mesenteric vessels allows decompressed jejunum to herniate retroperitoneally. PDH make up 53% of all internal hernias, but account for only 0.2% to 5.8% of all cases of intestinal obstruction.

Paraduodenal hernia: An exceptional cause of acute bowel obstruction
Abstract Internal hernias represent only 0.2%–0.9% of all causes of bowel obstruction. A 59‐year‐old patient presented urgently with small bowel obstruction. Laparotomy revealed a left paraduodenal hernia with most of the small bowel herniating through a space between the inferior mesenteric vein and duodenojejunal junction.

Small Bowel Obstruction in Postpartum Vaginal Delivery due to Prior Abdominal Adhesions Case Report

Imaging Signs for Determining Surgery Timing of Acute Intestinal Obstruction
We aimed to analyze the computed tomography (CT) imaging signs of bowel wall ischemia in patients with acute intestinal obstruction and construct an imaging prediction model to guide clinical treatment. The CT imaging signs of patients with acute intestinal obstruction diagnosed in our center in recent 6 years were collected for retrospective analysis.

Intersigmoid Internal Hernia: Laparoscopic Repair of a Rare Cause of Bowel Obstruction
Intersigmoid hernia is a hernia of an abdominal viscus into the intersigmoid fossa, and it is one of the rare forms of internal hernia that can present with bowel obstruction. Intersigmoid hernia poses challenges in its diagnosis and treatment due to its rarity and vague signs and symptoms.

Adult Intestinal Malrotation Treated with Laparoscopic Ladd Procedure

A problem at any age: a case report of congenital malrotation with bowel ischemia in an 84-year-old
Background Malrotation with bowel ischemia is classically thought of as a disease of infants. However, the true prevalence of malrotation in both the pediatric and adult population is unknown due to the unclear number of asymptomatic patients.

A high clinical sense of the surgeon is mandatory in unstable deteriorating patients. Usually, a definitive diagnosis through an urgent laparotomy for repair of transmesenteric hernia and resection of gangrenous bowel leads to a successful outcome. Abstract A high clinical sense of the surgeon is mandatory in unstable deteriorating patients. Usually, a
